My name is ... Madalyn Roehrig
My name is Madalyn Roehrig. I am a high school senior in the Independent Study and Mentor ship program. The Independent Study and Mentor ship Program is a rigorous program through application and acceptance allows students to specialize and study a career or desired topic of study, where I have chosen Dietetics. Specifically through my interviews and research have honed my work around eating disorders. I have attained a mentor ship under the guidance of Ms. Casey Bonano (pictured below) and she has taught me so much over the past year.
I started this event as my final product, and it has expanded into a huge affair. My goal through this event is to provide resources for all kinds of people to come and understand, learn, or get help in a new and entertaining way. Art therapy is an amazing form of treatment and it is truly eye opening of the struggle that many people internally suffer through.
I am furthering my education at Texas Woman's University, majoring in Dietetic Nutrition, and I am so blessed to be given these opportunities to grow my experience and network before any higher education exposure.
