It is when you learn how to regulate life and work around each other when you truly can find success. This past week I have done that. I recognized that I had a heavy weekend planned and I could get behind. I have done my work and turned everything in as well as I have in the past. I haven't gotten behind and I also enjoyed all my activities throughout the weekend. The one problem I have come to realized I am doing is, not engaging in learning, rather I am completing and turning in the assignments I have. I need to refocus myself and goals to make sure that I continually stay a forward thinker and as far ahead of the game as possible. I want to be the mentee that constantly impresses and engages in each mentor visit and the student that impresses the class and visitors at every presentation night or speech assignment. I also have to start my mentor visits. I am so glad to have a mentor yet I am so nervous to actually start the process of learning from them every week. Nevertheless, I am still excited about this program and hands on learning. After Thanksgiving break, I will start my mentor visits so I am interested to see the atmosphere and engagement that will come with that.
