Blog-December 3, 2018

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving break, and ate so much delicious food, surrounded by all the people you love! Now that we are back to school, we started the week off strong with my first mentor visit. The mentor visit was great. She was so nice, and attentive, which is important to have an engaged mentor, so that was just reassuring. Furthermore, we made a lot of progress in regards to the work I would be doing with her, and future visits. She even was kind enough to invite me to different events that she hosts, which is great for me to continue to move forward in networking, communication skills, and knowledge in general. Secondly, I worked on another research assessment about adolescent obesity and the different benefits and cost of bariatric surgery compared to behavioral therapy, which was interesting. Lastly, over the school break I spent a lot of time working on my original work, so from that I have now all of my research and information done and finalized. Now this week I am looking forward to using that information and pull the information that is helpful from that and create a deep analysis and conclusion of my original work by finding connections between what the responses and tendencies were, and what the professionals use as well.
