Getting back into a routine and scheduling this past week has been very nice, as well as, very tiring. I started my week off great with an amazing Mentor visit. This Mentor visit was much different than my previous visits because I sat in on a client's appointment. This observational visit taught me a lot about how to apply the advice, knowledge, and communication in a particular circumstance. It was interesting because it was much more of a motivational, therapeutic session than what I expected out of the session. I anticipated a lot of educational and progress/goal orientation throughout the session, but the causality of the meeting was reassuring because I know I could do that for a career. Furthermore, my classmates and I have all prepared for the Research Showcase. It should be any amazing event, and I am excited to network and present all of my hard work. Over the holiday break, I worked on my display board for the rest of the year, and for those that know me, I love anything remotely crafty, so this project allowed me to express a level of creativity to promote and present all the less attractive research papers. In conclusion, I have my first Research Showcase on this coming Wednesday and I couldn’t be more proud of the progress I’ve made this first semester and am excited to move forward into new challenges and experiences in the next.
