I have painters! After months and weeks of emails, asking, searching, pushing, and traveling I have two different clinics that are willing to participate in my event. That gives me a rough total of about 10 or so artists. That will hopefully fill up my space beautifully. The art gallery has been nothing but amazing and cooperative, as well as, an amazing professional experience. This past week, I had called and called stores, such as Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Mardels, etc and art warehouses in order to get a discount or donation towards the canvases (which range about $150-300) for this event. Despite all the rejections I received, I did however get a 15% off coupon for Michaels. I went in to buy the canvases, and the cashier gave me an additional 50% off on top of my 15%. This saved me over $60 in the canvases, so that was a huge blessing. I have received 207 profile visits, and 48 new followers on my Instagram in the past 7 days. Nevertheless, I still have received zero donations and that is my main goal and priority for this event. Therefore I have thought of ways to increase the amount of people we anticipate at the event. I need to go to Wingspan at our school to get them to post it on the website and daily updates, as well as, try to get NEDA to post it on their website. In the end, no matter the turnout, I am extremely proud of the work I’ve done and the people I’ve met in the process.
