This passed week involved a lot of steps outside of the lines. I went on my first two in person interviews with amazing professionals. It was an opportunity that allowed me to grow up and get out of my comfort zone, as well as, introduced me to such great professionals. These professionals were very kind, comfortable, and beyond helpful. I learned a lot of behind the scenes work through the interviews. A lot of the same tips and opinions correlated between the interviews. For example, a lot of the false trends in the world today, need for balanced meals, always need to go back to the science of food, and that they all are in love with their job and all that they do. This was all very encouraging to hear and informative to listen too. In addition, I took a step back and looked at all my upcoming assignments and realized what little time I have to accomplish so much. I have developed a few ideas for my original work. One is very far fetched and the other is very basic, so I am eager to see where I go. I also think that having a mentor will help me develop a better, more in depth project. I have set my SMART goals - which you can find under the About Me page - I have a solid foundation of achievable requirements to help keep me accountable with my progression. Looking forward towards the next few weeks, I am excited to finalize my original work ideas, secure a mentor, and move forward in my knowledge, passion, and professionalism.
